This page will surely grow over time. If you are a co-conspirator of mine and I've forgotten you in my mountain-induced stupefaction, please shoot me an email and I'll get right on it. All the glory that is the Damian Sol links page shall also be yours. You will enlarge your Google Analytics referral data to 24x36", laminate it, mount it on foam core, and hang it over your mantle.
- Co-conspirators
- Jason Cox -- aka Xoc. Creator of the Internet-infamous "Super Mario World" cover album, and involved in too many other projects to name.
- The great singer/guitarist/songwriter Noah Nelson
- The no-longer-late (due to our recent resurrection as an acoustic 2-piece), great Las Pesadillas. Klezmer/rock/surf/prog/gypsy/bluegrass music that will melt your face tonight and call you the next day.
- The hardest, clumpinest, acoustic blues band this side of the Mississip', Hard Clumpin' Litter. Awesomely bawdy early blues songs about sex, drugs, hookers and occasionally a mill which done broke down.
- Useful things
- Managing Your Digital Life podcast/site. This is an important site for creators of digital content such as myself. I have lost the audio files for two entire albums due to accidental mismanagement, so it's critical to get it right.
- Favorite things
- Watching Lost for free on abc.com is pretty cool. It would be awesome, however, if they A) got some new friggin' commercials so I don't have to sit through the same 30-second spot for "Miss March" EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK, and B) didn't make me click to continue after every commercial! You're driving perfectly good eyeballs to the torrents, ABC.But still, thanks for the Lost episodes.
- Watching 30 Rock, The Office, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, My Name is Earl and a ridiculous assload more shows for free on Hulu.com is about as good as it gets for ad-supported streaming television.
- Watch every Southpark episode ever, for free, on SouthParkStudios.com.
- Leo Laporte's awesome podcasts can all be heard here, including my favorite, MacBreak Weekly.
- Merlin Mann's snide sense of humor and keen insights into the creative condition have enhanced my life manyfold. Witness his creative output here and here.
- My other favorite podcast, Buzz Out Loud, can be witnessed here. For you nerdy types (you know who you are).
- My other other favorite podcast, This American Life. Do I really need to say anything about this, the best show on terrestrial radio?
- Can't forget about the other best interview show on terrestrial radio, Fresh Air. Terry Gross, any time you are ready for the big interview I've been planning in my mind for the last 10 years, just hit me up.
- My other, other, other favorite podcast (oh, this is getting ridiculous), The Sound of Young America, will make you want to quit your day job and do nothing but interview awesome musicians, comedians and writers. Or, in my case, quit your day job and listen to someone else do that.
